Description
12 m Lighting Tower
The 12 m lighting tower is a polygonal steel structure for medium to large outdoor areas where uniform coverage, effective height and easy servicing matter. It is made from steel sheet in a tapered polygonal design and then undergoes complete hot-dip galvanizing to provide years of resistance to moisture, corrosion and harsh climatic conditions.
Features of the 12 m Lighting Tower
Wider Lighting Coverage Than a 9 m Tower with fewer poles on site
Full Hot-Dip Galvanizing for lasting resistance in humid and industrial environments
Choice of a 360° Ring Head or Stadium Head depending on the light distribution pattern
Easy Servicing and Maintenance with a manual or electric lifting system
Project-Specific Customization based on regional wind speed, design illuminance and floodlight brand and wattage
Lifting System: Manual or Electric
Manual Winch Version: For projects with a more economical budget. A safe winch raises and lowers the head; at 12 m, this version is particularly suitable when head weight, floodlight quantity and wattage are moderate.
Electric Version with Motor and Gearbox: Suitable for busy sites or larger floodlight quantities and wattages. The head lowers in seconds, making servicing, cleaning and replacement much faster.
Safety: Both versions are designed to use galvanized steel wire ropes, pulleys and safety locks in accordance with safety requirements.
Head and Lighting Arrangement (LED / MH / HPS)
The lighting arrangement is selected and calculated according to target lux and the distribution pattern:
360° Circular Head: for squares, open areas and large car parks
Stadium Head: for directional illumination at industrial sites, loading areas and areas requiring light on one side
Suggested Range for a 12 m Height adjustable according to lux and wind calculations:
LED (SMD/COB | IP65): approximately 8 to 20 floodlights in common wattages of 100/150/200/300 W
400 W Metal-Halide/Sodium: typically 6 to 10 floodlights depending on head type and weight limits
Note: Rather than selecting quantity solely by request, the number and wattage of floodlights are determined by lighting calculations and head/lifting-system weight limits to achieve the right balance between light, weight and safety.
Suggested Technical Specifications
Overall Height: 12 m, with multiple sections and overlap/flanged joints according to the design
Sections: tapered polygonal sections, with the number of faces suited to diameter and thickness
Structural Material: quality-controlled structural steel
Coating: full hot-dip galvanizing of the structure and connections within common industrial coating thickness ranges
Wire Rope: galvanized steel, with grade and size based on the head’s design load
Inspection Hatch: safe access to internal equipment and terminals
Base Control Panel: required switches and protection devices, including fuse/MCB, RCD, phase protection and a lockable switch, with a durable electrostatic finish
Optional Equipment: lightning protection, aviation warning light, rain cap, suspension guide, timer/photocell/manual switch and monitoring sensors
All precise values, including thicknesses, diameters, wire rope grade and base plate dimensions, are finalized after wind and head-loading calculations in the final technical assessment.
Foundation and Installation
Precast or Cast-in-Place Foundation with standard formwork and an anchor bolt template for accurate positioning
Anchor Bolts based on design results for quantity, diameter and arrangement
Provision of a layout plan, anchor bolt template and installation details according to project conditions
What Affects the Price of a 12 m Lighting Tower?
Structural Design: Thicknesses, Diameters and Number of Sections suited to regional wind conditions and head load
Lifting System Type: manual is more economical; electric is more convenient and faster for frequent servicing
